Why we use cookies

Necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the website to function correctly and cannot be switched off. They include a first-party cookie and local storage entry recording your cookie choice, your shopping basket contents, and secure sign-in storage for administrators using our internal system. They do not track you across other websites.

• sd_cookie_consent — remembers your cookie choices. Lasts 6 months.
• sd-basket-v1 — remembers your basket. Stored in your browser until cleared.
• Sign-in session storage for administrators only. Lasts for the session.

Analytics cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors use Secure Driveways so we can improve the website and our services. They are off by default and only set after you allow analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics 4, which sets the following cookies on this website:

• _ga — distinguishes anonymous visitors. Lasts up to 2 years.
• _ga_<container id> — keeps session state for Google Analytics 4. Lasts up to 2 years.
• _gid — distinguishes visitors. Lasts 24 hours.

Marketing cookies

These cookies may be used to measure advertising performance and provide more relevant advertising. We do not currently run any advertising or remarketing tags on this website, so no marketing cookies are set at present. The option appears in our preference panel so that, if we add advertising measurement in future, it will only ever operate with your explicit consent.

Google Analytics and Consent Mode

Our Google tag uses Google Consent Mode v2. Before you choose, analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation are all set to denied, and the Google Analytics tag is not loaded at all. If you allow analytics cookies, analytics storage is granted and Google Analytics begins measuring page views. Advertising consent is only granted if you separately allow marketing cookies. If you withdraw consent, we update Google Consent Mode immediately and remove the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.

Changing or withdrawing your consent

You can change your choices at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and takes effect immediately. We will ask you again if our cookie policy materially changes, or after six months.

Disabling cookies in your browser

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings — look for Privacy or Cookies in Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox. Blocking all cookies may cause some parts of the site, such as the basket, to behave unexpectedly.
