Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Secure Driveways collects when you request a free survey, how we use it, who we share it with and how long we keep it.

Who we are

Secure Driveways (securedriveways.com) operates a UK marketplace connecting homeowners and businesses with approved driveway security installers. We are the data controller for the information you submit through this website. You can contact us about privacy at hello@securedriveways.com.

What we collect

When you submit an enquiry or contact us we collect:

  • Your name, email address and telephone number.
  • Your postcode and, if you provide it, your property address.
  • Details of your enquiry: property type, product interest, quantity, preferred survey date and any notes.
  • For commercial enquiries: site type, approximate vehicle movements, existing security measures and procurement notes.
  • Any photographs of your driveway, entrance or site that you choose to upload.
  • A record that you gave consent, and the date and time you gave it.
  • Limited technical information used to prevent spam and abuse, such as a one-way hashed form of your network address.

Photographs you upload

Photographs are optional. They are stored in private, access-controlled storage and are never published on this website or made publicly accessible. They are viewed only by our team and by the approved installer assigned to your enquiry, purely to prepare for your survey. Please avoid including people, number plates or other unnecessary personal information in photographs.

Why we use your data

We use your data to respond to your enquiry, to arrange a free on-site survey and to pass your requirements to a suitable approved installer. Our lawful bases are your consent (given when you submit the enquiry form) and our legitimate interest in operating the marketplace and preventing fraud and abuse.

Sharing with installers and providers

To arrange your survey and quotation we share your enquiry details — including your contact information, address, requirements and any photographs — with one or more approved installers in your area. Those installers act as independent data controllers for the work they carry out for you and are contractually required to use your data only for the purpose of quoting and completing your installation.

We also use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf: our website and database hosting provider, and our transactional email provider. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records and associated photographs are retained for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, so that we can handle follow-up questions, warranty matters and disputes. Records connected to a completed installation may be kept for up to 6 years where needed for legal or accounting purposes. After that they are deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights email hello@securedriveways.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Security and changes

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in access-controlled systems with role-based permissions. We review this policy periodically and will update the date at the top of this page when it changes.
